DRD Group are looking for a Village Supervisor for a Mining & Energy Powerhouse.

In this role you will: 

  • Coordinate and facilitate the services provided by Catering, Ancillary and Maintenance Contractors , ensuring that the scope is delivered on schedule and within budget. This includes reviewing contractor documentation and reporting, as well as attending regular contractor meetings.
  • Act as a conduit for technical resources and escalation from maintenance, security, and health services. Matters requiring escalation can be referred to the Manager Village Operations for follow-up with Business Partners directly.
  • Adherence to the Food Safety Management Plan, ensuring that all critical controls are in place and effectively tested.
  • Assist in contractor cost estimation and budget management.
  • Assist in regular progress reports and technical documentation.
  • Village and Facility Operations, maintenance and asset management.
  • Consult with the Catering Team regarding any menu variations or deviations that may be necessary for operational reasons.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.

About you:
  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably in a mining or remote work environment.
  • Demonstrate experience in leadership and people management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines across competing priorities.
  • Intermediate experience with Contracts and Contractor Management Frameworks.
  • Intermediate experience with safety and work management systems such as SAP, BMS, and PIMS is preferred.
  • Intermediate Procedural and standard interpretation skills
  • High-level organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate experience in the use of the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
