We are looking for a Dewatering design engineers based in Perth for an Owner's team vacancy. We have positions available for immediate start and in the new year. The Dewatering design engineer will be responsible for the detailed design deliverables associated with water infrastructure projects across mine sites.

About the role:
- Hydraulic modelling of pipelines, borefields, pump stations, ponds, tanks etc.
- Preparation and compilation of technical project deliverables in a work package consisting of construction drawings, quantity estimate, scope definition and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate project design reviews including field inspection, stakeholder requirements and compliance to basis of design criteria.
- Develop final engineering deliverables including pipeline schematics, GA's, P&ID's and critical equipment selection.
- Input to capital estimates including quantity calculations.
- Co-ordinate operational readiness requirements of the project.
- Ensuring schedule compliance and escalating risks as required.
- Support Technical Queries and updates to design documentation as required.
- Produce equipment data sheets and assess vendor proposals for budget and technical compliance.
- Ensure that designs are produced in accordance with relevant regulations, project requirements and best practices.

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical (preferred), Chemical or Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Piping systems and pipeline design experience, ideally within the mining industry and/or engineering consultancy experience.
- Previous experience in mine dewatering.
- Understanding of Australian and common International standards and regulatory authority requirements in the mining and water industries.
- Ability to take short trips to site for scoping and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to self-start, think for yourself and deliver on schedule and on budget.
- Competency in Visio, Arc map (desirable).
- Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
